• On 7 Jun 1841 George appeared on the census at Hallamgate, Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorks as a 50-year-old farmer but may have been between 50 and 54. 2
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Sep 1844 at the Ecclesall Bierlow registration district, with GRO reference Vol 22, Page 61. 4
• On 19 Dec 1849 his son George's marriage certificate said that he had been a farmer. 5
George married Sarah SMITH on 25 Apr 1815 in Rotherham, Yorks. (Sarah SMITH was born in 1794 in Wath upon Dearne, Yorks 2 6 7 8 and died about 1873 4.)
