Her father, Mortimer Timpson, was a builder. 1 • On 31 Oct 1886 her son Claude's baptism certificate said she lived at 55 Haverstock Road, Kentish Town, Middx. 5 • On 5 Apr 1891 Jessie appeared on the census at 56 Fairbridge Road, Islington, Middx as a 30-year-old. 6 • On 31 Mar 1901 she appeared on the census at 17 Oakfield Road, Hornsey, Middx as a 37-year-old. 7 • On 2 Apr 1911 Jessie appeared on the census at 4 Tulsemere Road, West Norwood, Middx as a 48-year-old widowed dressmaker, working on her own account, who had borne 3 children, all still living. 8 Jessie married Alfred JACOB, son of Morris JACOB and Unknown, on 26 Dec 1882 in St. John-at-Hackney, Hackney, Middx.1 2 (Alfred JACOB was born about 1836 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk 4 and died in 1901 9.)
