His father, Morris Jacob, was a farmer. 1 • On 31 Oct 1886 his son Claude's baptism certificate said he was a baker and he lived at 55 Haverstock Road, Kentish Town, Middx. 5 • On 5 Apr 1891 Alfred appeared on the census at 56 Fairbridge Road, Islington, Middx as a 36-year-old shoemaker whose age was recorded incorrectly. 6 • On 31 Mar 1901 he appeared on the census at 17 Oakfield Road, Hornsey, Middx as a 64-year-old painter. 7 • His death was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1901 at the Edmonton registration district, with GRO reference vol 3a, page 202. 4 Alfred married Jessie Isabel TIMPSON, daughter of Mortimore TIMPSON and Margaret HOPKINS, on 26 Dec 1882 in St. John-at-Hackney, Hackney, Middx.1 2 (Jessie Isabel TIMPSON was born about 1863 in Kentish Town, Middx 8.)
