Cause of her death was "poisened herself with laudenum when under the influence of spirits".1 Events • On 7 Jun 1841 she appeared on the census at Brunton Row, East Brunton, Northumberland as a 35-year-old but may have been between 35 and 39. 2 • On 30 Mar 1851 Martha appeared on the census in Usworth, Co. Durham as a 51-year-old. 3 • Her death was registered during the quarter ended Sep 1855 at the Gateshead registration district, with GRO reference Vol 10a, Page 267. 4 Martha married William GASCOYNE. (William GASCOYNE was born about 1791 in Ireland 2 3 5 and died on 21 May 1875 at 14 Camden Street, Newcastle, Northumberland 1.) The cause of his death was old age, paralysis 2 days.1 |
