• On 3 Apr 1881 Henry appeared on the census in Park Hill Lodge, Streatham, Surrey as a 9-year-old scholar. ²

• On 5 Apr 1891 he appeared on the census at 26 Grosvenor Gardens, Belgravia, London as a 20-year-old footman (domestic servant) in the home of Gilbert A. Clayton East, farmer. ³

• Before 1901 he emigrated to Canada since he doesn't appear on the 1901 census and he was in the Canadian Armed Forces.
