• On 31 Mar 1901 she appeared on the census at 6 Defoe Road (now Garratt Lane), Tooting Graveney, Surrey as a 40-year-old. 5
• On 2 Apr 1911 Mary appeared on the census at 8 Rupert Terrace, London Road, Mitcham, Surrey as a 49-year-old in charge of home who had been married for 30 years with 7 children, all still living. 6
• On 10 Jun 1916 she was awarded the probate of her late husband's will. 7
Mary married Samuel TIMPSON, son of Edwin TIMPSON and Jane HAMILTON, on 25 Dec 1880 in St. Mary's Parish Church, Lambeth, Surrey.1 2 (Samuel TIMPSON was born on 7 Oct 1860 in Paddington, Middx 8 9, christened on 9 Jun 1861 at All Saints Church, Camden Town, Middx 8 and died on 7 Oct 1914 10.)
• Their witnesses were Thomas Nettlefold and Ellen Roberts. 1
• Their marriage was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1880 at the Lambeth registration district, with GRO reference vol 1d, page 783. His surname is mistranscribed into the index as Tinipson. 2
