• On 3 Apr 1881 she appeared on the census at 16 Napier Street, Newton Heath, Lancs as a 5-year-old scholar. ³

• On 5 Apr 1891 Jane appeared on the census at 4 Hayes Street, Miles Platting, Lancs as a 16-year-old cotton doubler. ⁴

• On 22 Dec 1894 her marriage certificate said that she was a 20-year-old spinster and that she lived at 230 Cobden Street, Manchester, Lancs. Her father, Joseph Jones, was a labourer. The Cobden Street address was probably an accommodation address, since her husband was also shown living there and a different family appeared there on the 1891 census. ²

• On 31 Mar 1901 she appeared on the census at 105 Ryder Street, Collyhurst, Lancs as a 26-year-old married woman living with her husband and 3 children. ⁵

• On 2 Apr 1911 Jane appeared on the census at 55 Ryder Street, Collyhurst, Lancs as a 36-year-old who had been married for 16 years with 6 children, three of whom had died. ⁶

Jane married William Arthur MULLENDER, son of George MULLENDER and Sarah BUNN, on 22 Dec 1894 in The Parish Church, Manchester, Lancs.^{1 2} (William Arthur MULLENDER was born on 21 Jan 1873 at 34 Wood Street, Hartlepool ^{6 7}.)

• Their witnesses were James Walker and Ada Earl. ²

• Their marriage was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1894 at the Manchester registration district, with GRO reference Vol 8d, Page 386. ¹
