• On 7 Apr 1861 Rebecca appeared on the census in Otley, Suffolk as a 1-year-old. 4 • On 2 Apr 1871 she appeared on the census in Otley, Suffolk as an eleven-year-old scholar. 5 • On 3 Apr 1881 Rebecca appeared on the census in Otley, Suffolk as a 22-year-old. 6 • On 17 Dec 1882 her marriage certificate said that she was a 23-year-old spinster and that she lived in Mistley, Essex. her father, David Faires (deceased) had been a farmer. 2 • On 4 May 1890 her son Leonard's baptism certificate said she lived at 9 Fircroft Road, Streatham, Surrey. 11 • On 5 Apr 1891 she appeared on the census at 9 Fircroft Road, Streatham, Surrey as a 31-year-old. 7 • On 31 Mar 1901 Rebecca appeared on the census at 45 Burnham Road, St. Albans, Herts as a 39-year-old. 8 • On 2 Apr 1911 she appeared on the census at 11 Princes Road, Fleetville, Herts as a 53-year-old who had been married for 29 years with 3 children, all still living. Her husband seems to have been away from home on census night. 9 • Her death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1928 at the St. Albans registration district, with GRO reference vol 3a, page 1047. 10 • On 23 Mar 1929 her estate was probated at the London registry to her daughter Lilian Violet Payne. Effects £774 15s 2d.
