• On 26 Jun 1889 his marriage certificate said that he was a 23-year-old batchelor, working as a tool maker and that he lived in Hunshelf, Yorks.. 2
• On 5 Apr 1891 he appeared on the census at Hope Terrace, Victoria Street, Stocksbridge, Yorks as a 25-year-old umbrella tool maker. 6
• On 31 Mar 1901 Arthur appeared on the census at Horner Houses, Stocksbridge, Yorks as a 35-year-old umbrella tool maker. 7
• On 2 Apr 1911 he appeared on the census at Mozart House, Manchester Road, Stocksbridge, Yorks as a 45-year-old musical instrument dealer. 8
• In 1910 he placed an advertisement in the Stocksbridge Almanac showing that he was a dealer in all types of musical instruments. He later acquired the first motorbike in the Stocksbridge area. 9
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Jun 1959 at the Wortley registration district, with GRO reference vol 2d, page 668. 4
Arthur married Elizabeth CHEETHAM, daughter of Isaac CHEETHAM and Unknown, on 26 Jun 1889 in St. John the Baptist, Penistone, Yorks.1 2 (Elizabeth CHEETHAM was born about 1868 in Bradwell, Derbyshire 6.)
