• On 9 Jun 1878 his marriage certificate said that he was a 22-year-old bachelor who worked as a shopman and that he lived at 109 Drummond Street, Hampstead, Middx. His father, Henry Rolph, was a labourer.

• On 3 Apr 1881 he appeared on the census at 1 London Row, Chadwell St. Mary, Essex as a 24-year-old railway porter.

• On 5 Apr 1891 Henry appeared on the census at Cranham Road, Upminster, Essex as a 34-year-old points shunter, railway.

• On 31 Mar 1901 he appeared on the census at 1 Florence Terrace, Sylvan Road, Ilford, Essex as a 44-year-old coachman - not domestic.

• On 2 Apr 1911 Henry appeared on the census at 17 Newlands Road, Westcliff, Essex as a 54-year-old jobbing gardener.

• His death was registered during the quarter ended Sep 1924 at the Rochford registration district, with GRO reference vol 4a, page 515.

Henry married Eliza JOSLIN, daughter of Joseph JOSLIN and Emma, on 9 Jun 1878 in St. James's Church, Hampstead, Middx. (Eliza JOSLIN was born about 1860 in Great Baddow, Essex and died about 1934.)

• Their witnesses were Henry Joseph Gutteridge and Eliza (surname unreadable).
