Events • On 2 Apr 1871 he appeared on the census at Cosley Cottage, Fletching, Sussex as a 1-year-old. 1 • On 3 Apr 1881 George appeared on the census at Short Bridge, Fletching, Sussex as a scholar, aged 11 years. 2 • On 5 Apr 1891 he appeared on the census at Morris Farm, Piltdown, Maresfield, Sussex as a 19-year-old farm servant in the home of John Kenward, farmer. Also there was Fanny L. Tester, general domestic servant, who would become his wife. • On 31 Mar 1901 George appeared on the census at Sharp's Cottage, Piltdown, Maresfield, Sussex as a 30-year-old shepherd on farm. • On 2 Apr 1911 he appeared on the census at Sharp's Cottage, Piltdown, Maresfield, Sussex as a 40-year-old shepherd on farm. • His death was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1950 at the Uckfield, Sussex, with GRO reference vol 5h, page 460. • On 4 Jan 1951 his estate was probated at the Lewes registyry to Hilda Mahalia Turner, spinster. Effects £247 16s 7d. At the time of his death he was living at Wingfield, Framfield Road, Buxted, Sussex. George married Fanny Letitia TESTER about 1895. (Fanny Letitia TESTER was born about 1873 in Maresfield, Sussex and died on 14 May 1953.)
