• On 2 Apr 1871 Peter appeared on the census at Howstrake, Conchan, IOM as a 63-year-old retired farmer living with his brother Henry. ⁵

• On 3 Apr 1881 he appeared on the census at Ballifield Hall, Handsworth, Yorks as a 73-year-old widower, described as a gentleman and living with his son, Thomas. ⁶

• On 18 Jan 1888 his estate was probated at the Wakefield registry to his son Thomas Watson Cadman with effects valued at £7,725, 16s 3d. At the time of his death he was living at Ballifield Hall, Handsworth, Yorks. ⁷

Peter married Mary WATSON about 1830. (Mary WATSON was born about 1803 in Sheffield, Yorks ^{2 3 4} and died before 1871 ⁵.)
