• On 3 Apr 1881 Martha appeared on the census at 18 Hill Street, Seaton Carew, Co. Durham as a 34-year-old. 4
• On 5 Apr 1891 she appeared on the census at 45 Florence Street, Seaton Carew, Co. Durham as a 44-year-old. 5
• On 31 Mar 1901 Martha appeared on the census at 35 Florence Street, Seaton Carew, Co. Durham as a 54-year-old living with her new husband and 3 children from her previous marriage. 6
• On 2 Apr 1911 she appeared on the census at 44 Marmion Road, West Hartlepool, Co. Durham as a 65-year-old widowed charwoman. She had reverted to her previous married name and I can find no death for Michael Maughan, so I suspect that she had left him (or vice versa). 7
Martha married William MULLENDER, son of William MULLENDER and Eliza GREAVES, in 1868.1 (William MULLENDER was born about 1848 in Kingswinford, Staffs,4 5 8 9 died in 1899 10 and was buried on 20 Apr 1899 in North Cemetery, Hartlepool, Co. Durham, England 11.)
