• On 7 Jun 1841 he appeared on the census at Monmouth Street, Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorks as a 35-year-old razor manufacturer but may have been between 35 and 39. 2
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1841 at the Ecclesall Bierlow registration district, with GRO reference vol 22, page 57. 6
• On 19 Dec 1849 his daughter Ann's marriage certificate said that he had been a Razor Manufacturer. 7
Alfred married Mary HOPE, daughter of HOPE and Unknown, about 1823. (Mary HOPE was born about 1804 in Sheffield, Yorks 2 5 8 9 and died in 1877 10.)
