• On 2 Apr 1871 he did not appear on the census. His deatils were show for his brother Henry, so i suspect that the census taker copied the information incorrectly, starting with Henry's name but using George's details. 2

• On 3 Apr 1881 George appeared on the census at Albert Street, Pensnett, Staffs as a 15-year-old grocer's porter. 1
