• On 5 Apr 1891 Walter appeared on the census at Church Green, Holbrook, Suffolk as a 38-year-old farm labourer. 3
• On 31 Mar 1901 he appeared on the census at Church Green, Holbrook, Suffolk as a 48-year-old horseman on farm. 4
• On 2 Apr 1911 Walter appeared on the census near the Church, Holbrook, Suffolk as a 58-year-old stationary engineman for a farmer. 5
Walter married Emma CULHAM, daughter of Robert CULHAM and Mary Ann PETERS, in 1876.1 (Emma CULHAM was born about 1857 in Stonham Parva, Suffolk 6 and died in 1932 7.)
• Their marriage was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1876 at the Bosmere registration district, with GRO reference vol 4a, page 1257 . There is another Emma Culham who married in Sep 1878, (Bosmere, 4a, 823), but checking that surname on later censuses gives no match for birth date or place. 1
