• On 5 Apr 1891 Emily appeared on the census at Gate Court, Northiam, Sussex as a 15-year-old domestic servant in the home of Hugh Boxall, farmer and grazier. 6
• On 31 Mar 1901 she appeared on the census at 33 Leamington Road Villas, Paddington, Middx as a 25-year-old domestic servant in the home of Edwin Fewster, tailors assistant. 7
• In 1910 she emigrated to Canada with her husband. 8
• On 1 Jun 1911 Emily appeared on the census in Lot 8, Rawdon, Ontario, Canada as a 35-year-old farmer who lived on her own farm. She worked 20 weeks of the previous year at an average of 80 hours per week. She could read and write, but spoke only English. Shee gave her religion as Anglican. 8
Emily married Charles Benjamin FAIRES, son of Benjamin FAYERS and Maria CULHAM, on 16 Nov 1905.1 2 (Charles Benjamin FAIRES was born on 22 Jan 1875 in Orford, Suffolk 8 9 10 and died in Feb 1952 in Stirling, Ontario, Canada 3.)
