• On 2 Apr 1911 Charles appeared on the census at 174 Industry Street, Nether Hallam, Yorks as a 39-year-old engineer turner working for an engineer's tool maker. 4
• On 23 Feb 1926 he was awarded the probate of the will of his wife's sister Emily, togeher with George Henry Selwood, silversmith and was described as a turner. 5
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1947 at the Sheffield registration district, with GRO reference vol 2d, page 92. 3
Charles married Augusta HOLMSHAW, daughter of John HOLMSHAW and Susanna, in 1894.1 (Augusta HOLMSHAW was born about 1872 in Sheffield, Yorks 6 and died in 1947 7.)
