• On 2 Apr 1911 George appeared on the census at 96 First Avenue, Plaistow, Essex as a 65-year-old widower who worked as a blacksmith and was living with his daughter Ada and her family. 9
George married Ruth PALMER, daughter of Joseph PALMER and Unknown, on 16 Oct 1868 in St. Mary's Church, Ingatestone, Essex.1 (Ruth PALMER was born in 1849 in Woodham Walter, Essex 5 6 7 and died about 1901 10.)
• Their witnesses were Edward Rolph and Sarah Palmer. 1
