• On 2 Apr 1871 Hannah appeared on the census at 24 St. Leonards Road, Bromley, Middx as a 13-year-old scholar. ²

• On 3 Apr 1881 she appeared on the census at 53 Cotton Street, Poplar, Middx as a 23-year-old. ³

• On 5 Apr 1891 Hannah appeared on the census at 12 Rounton Road, Bromley, Middx as a 33-year-old widowed sick nurse living with her parents, but with no children. Her surname is given as Prior. There is one marriage recorded between 1881 and 1891 for a Hannah B. Carter to a Prior, but that was in Cardiff and there is no record of a death for anyone of his name. ⁴
