• On 28 May 1821 he appeared on the census in Writtle, Essex as head of a household which contained two males, one aged 5-10 and one 20-30, plus five females two aged 0-5, one aged 5-10 and two 20-30. 3
• On 6 Jun 1841 Edward appeared on the census at Horshill Park, Writtle, Essex as a 45-year-old agricultural labourer but may have been between 45 and 49. 4
• On 30 Mar 1851 he appeared on the census at Edney Common, Writtle, Essex as a 59-year-old agricultural labourer. 5
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1855 at the Chelmsford registration district, with GRO reference Vol 4a, Page 107. 8
Edward married Mary Ann about 1817 in Writtle, Essex.1 (Mary Ann was born about 1791 in Chignal St James, Essex 3 4 5 9 10 11 and died about 1876 in Chelmsford, Essex 12.)
